Is a family owned business that became a reality of the father, Hudgon, and son, Raynard, desires to open a restaurant geared to a fast food concept.
A restaurant that began as a take-out place in 1990 became so popular that, four years later, a second location was started. This one offering not only take out but also accommodations for those who want to eat in.
Hudgon and Annie Milbry and their son Raynard opened Shaker's Conch House at 10149 NW 22nd Ave. in North Miami-Dade, offering a variety of dishes, many of them not served at regular take-out restaurants. In November 1994, a second location was opened at 5330 NW 17th Ave. in Liberty City.
Shakers is known for many of its dishes, the most popular being the conch and the barbecue ribs.
The wide array of conch is sure to appeal to conch lovers; even people new to conch may find it to their liking at Shakers. "That's been our niche," said Annie Milbry. "Shakers is known for its conch. That's what people come here for, as well as the fish and barbecue ribs".
Wonderful neighborhood seafood takeout restaurant. They've been serving us take out seafood faithfully for over 26 years. Excellent fried conch and fresh fish dinners served with your choice of macaroni and cheese, collard greens, French fries as well as other sides. They close at 9 so get there on time. There's usually a wait but you can call in your order ahead of time. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.

This was the best fried conch I have had since arriving in Miami. The conch was tender, the breading wasn't too salty and I really enjoyed the fish and shrimp as well . The sides weren't as satisfying but they weren't horrible.

Whenever I come back to Florida I make it my business to go by Shakers... the only thing I had a problem with is that the couch balls were made different from what I remember and they had to much salt. But that fried couch and shrimp is always on point.
